Olympia Hills

I can not express how amazing Olympia Hills and their staff is. I was so lucky to have found them for my wedding. The grounds are beautiful and set the back drop perfectly for a picture perfect ceremony! Katie and Mallory are so professional and devoted to ensuring your day goes without a hitch. It truly was the happiest day of my life. And bonus; The food is OUT OF THIS WORLD. My guest still ask me about the stuff mushrooms! Don't hesitate to book your dream wedding today!!!

Excellent, challenging course. Very hilly and well worth the price! Edit: April 2023, I will not return to this course until I get some assurance that the greens will have anything even resembling grass for greens. We booked the tee time, nobody said anything, we went in and paid, nobody said anything, we get to the first tee and the starter says "Sorry about the greens". I mean what can you do then? They were all about 90% dirt it was bad.

Overall a decent course but the greens were horrible. Maybe one or two that were very nice so why not the rest?. Staff was very courteous and professional. Marshalls were very good. Another regret I had was the a how much garbage was in the water on the course. Picture is example of one but it was common theme throughout the course. Seems that this had been around for some time. Expect a bit more from such a nice place I guess but maybe they don't care. Their greens reflect the same neglect..and please dont tell me its the heat because other course greens are just fine.

One stop shop! Olympia Hills Golf Club had everything I needed for an amazing day! My wedding was May 28th, sky was blue and not a cloud in the sky, it was a beautiful day! But it was HOT. If you do an outdoor event before the sun goes down be sure to bring an umbrella. That sun can be brutal. Anywho Katy and Mallory are coordinators extraordinaire. I’ve never been married or planned a wedding before and although it showed, these ladies made me feel comfortable asking questions and making decisions. They also took my requests and made them work. They were also very flexible for appointments. Decor: they will provide some decor for tables and you are welcome to decline using them or you can spruce them up. I decided the latter. Food: plenty of items to choose from. When we did the tasting I will say the food was good. We actually looked forward to it and knew the guest would enjoy it. However on the day of I only ate my salad. The food was salty to me and the meatballs for the appetizers were huge and tasteless compared to what we tested. Our guests didn’t give negative or positive reviews so, no fuss here. The staff that did the serving was so nice and accommodating. I absolutely appreciated each one of them. Bar: Wonderful! Kudos to the bar staff they were super cool and made the drinks well. Grounds: outside was gorgeous for pics. We even had a few deer visit. My only issue was with lil bugs loving the white dress. I rushed through several of my pics because I was getting annoyed. But I will say it was a relief they weren’t biting bugs. The venue does spray ahead of the event. Choosing this venue was one of the best decisions I made. Even after our Pastor passed out the staff was able to regroup and get everything back in order. I will definitely use them for future events.

So right out of the gate, the guys in the pro shop were very polite and when I asked them about walking the course they were like well it's not easy. Unless you are really experienced at walking golf courses, I would highly not recommend it! This was the toughest course I've ever walked in my life because some holes were just straight up and straight down. The back nine was much easier though. The starter Leo, on his first day working there was super nice and even gave me a little package for electrolytes to put in my water because he knew I was walking. Very cool! Really enjoyed the golf course. It was my first one that I played in San Antonio. Got grouped with a great group of guys. Overall enjoyed the layout. Definitely get out and play it if you're in the area!!
